Endure network continues work

Integrated pest management (IPM) in Europe

24 November 2010: In Paris, the partners of the ENDURE Network of Excellence  signed an agreement that regulates their future co-operation in the field of integrated pest management in Europe.

ENDURE is the European Network for the Durable Exploitation of Crop Protection Strategies. Its overall aim is to help develop farming systems that are less reliant on pesticides. The network was scheduled for four years (2007-2010) and recieved financial support of the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme. The Julius Kühn Institute was one of the participants.

The partners now decided to continue ENDURE as European research group. The future permanent group shall maintain, update and enrich the resources made available by ENDURE.

On the occasion of the ENDURE final meeting on 24 – 25 November in Paris, the partners signed an agreement to support the group‘s activities over the next four years. For instance,  the French partner INRA will employ a scientist on a full-time position, and the Julius Kühn Institute is ready to host the IT platform.
