Getting there by car

• Coming on the motorway A 5 (Frankfurt - Heidelberg), exit at Darmstadt / Griesheim.
  Then drive into direction Darmstadt Innenstadt (City Centre), after a 3.5 km drive turn onto the B3 to the right in the direction of Heidelberg (Neckarstraße), after about 500 m turn to the left into Heinrichstraße, where after about 3 km just before reaching the city limits you will find the JKI immediately after passing the petrol station to your right. There is a sign “JKI – Julius Kühn-Institut – Institut für biologischen Pflanzenschutz”.
• Coming from the east (B26, A3, Aschaffenburg), turn left at the traffic lights in the direction of “THD Lichtwiese”. The institute is situated on the left just before the ARAL petrol station.

Getting there by train

• At Darmstadt Main station (Hauptbahnhof), take Bus K, destination TU-Lichtwiese, up to „Botanischer Garten“.
• Then walk left away from the inner city. You will find the access road to JKI immediately after passing the ARAL petrol station to your right. There is a sign “JKI – Julius Kühn-Institut – Institut für biologischen Pflanzenschutz”.

Getting there by plane

At Frankfurt Airport, you will find bus stops in front of Terminal 1, bus stop 14 (exit B) and Terminal 2 (exit D/E): 

• take the „AIRliner“ as far as Darmstadt main station (Hauptbahnhof)
• get on Bus K (destination TU-Lichtwiese) and get off up at bus stop Botanischer Garten
• walk left away from the inner city
• after 100 m, just after the ARAL petrol station, turn right into the JKI premises.
