Getting there by car

• Coming from east or west leave the motorway A 2 (Berlin - Hanover) at the exit marked Braunschweig-Ost (Brunswick-East). Travel in the direction of Braunschweig and carry on to the B248 for about 5 km. At the intersection Berliner Str. and Messeweg (JKI street sign posted here) turn left into Messeweg.
• Coming from the south via Salzgitter take the motorway A 39 exit at Sickte, then travel in the direction B 1 and leave the second roundabout B1/Riddagshausen. Cross the B1 and drive to Riddagshausen where you should turn right immediately after the lakes into the Messeweg. After 500 m you will arrive at the JKI, which is situated on the left side of the road.

Make sure you do not miss the rather small gate.

Getting there by train

Arriving at Braunschweig Main Station (Hauptbahnhof, Intercity express station), take bus M19 or M11 (heading for Lamme/Kanzlerfeld) up to Kastanienallee; here  change to bus M13 towards Querum, Bevenrode or Airport and get off at bus stop “Julius-Kühn-Institut”.
