Bulletin of forest protection

Since 2004, the annual Waldschutzberichte have been analyzing the protection status of Germany’s forests. The bulletin highlights current problems and important diseases and pests in the period under review. It publishes figures on windthrow per federal state and reports on the local occurrence of abiotic and biotic stress factors.

The JKI closely cooperates with the forest protection services of the federal states, and many of the information in the bulletin have been compiled by them.
