The Julius-Kühn-Archiv is successor to several scientific bulletins and thus continues a tradition  that started with the first issue in 1906.
Journal titles of predecessors are:

• „Mitteilungen aus der Biologischen Bundesanstalt für Land- und Forstwirtschaft“ and predecessors (1.1906 - 413.2007)
