Evaluation Data of Plant Genetic Resources (EVA)
EVA is the short title for an information system for evaluation data on plant genetic resources. Aim of the project is the efficient use of genetic resources in programmes for breeding disease-resistant varieties.
For barley and wheat, genebank accessions, German and foreign cultivars and current breeding lines are evaluated for resistance in several different places. The EVA network comprises German seed breeding companies and research institutions.
