Copper-containing fungicides and fertilizers
Copper is a heavy metal that finds application in agriculture in plant protectants and fertilizers. The fate and behaviour of copper residues in soil and the implications on soil organisms have been discussed on national and international level. For years, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the Julius Kühn Institute have been committed to reducing the copper load in agricultural soils and to providing alternatives to copper applications. The copper portal of the Julius Kühn Institute shall present the results in this field.
