According to the GenTG the JKI is involved in the release and placing on the market of GMO as one of the authorities giving their opinion on relevant applications. In support of this function a database is maintained in the field of gene technology and GMO.
Presently, the database mainly records release and placing on the market events from EU countries, as well as documents and reports regarding gene technology and bios
