Young Scientists Meeting
Non-public annual scientific conference addressing the young generation of scientists of the Julius Kühn Institute
Every year, the Julius Kühn-Institut provides a platform to young scientists - students, PhDs or Postdocs - for interdisciplinary discussions, development of ideas and mutual scientific exchange.
At the Young Scientists Meeting, young researchers present their first scientific results in oral presentations. Since it is often their first talk given in front of a larger audience, all presentations are evaluated anonymously by the young scientists themselves. In addition, the talks are filmed and the participants therefore can improve their self-assessment skills and learn for future presentations. The Young Scientists Meeting also provides the opportunity to write a publication for the Julius-Kühn-Archiv, a non-periodical journal.
